Up to <strong>80,000 residents<\/strong> are affected, according to the <strong>UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIf this reservoir is damaged or continues to be inaccessible, the city\u2019s entire water system could break down,\u201d warned <strong>UN spokesperson St\u00e9phane Dujarric<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Humanitarian Situation Reaching Breaking Point<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The reservoir\u2019s shutdown is the latest blow to Gaza\u2019s collapsing infrastructure, already strained by fuel shortages, damaged supply chains, and widespread displacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udd3b <strong>85% of Gaza<\/strong> is now either under military control or designated evacuation zones.<br>\ud83d\udd3b Nearly <strong>714,000 people<\/strong> have been forcibly displaced again since March.<br>\ud83d\udd3b <strong>29,000<\/strong> were uprooted in just a single day earlier this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overcrowded shelters are unable to cope. In most areas, people are sleeping outdoors without protection from the elements.
